Update on Kristin
We are so thankful that Kristin is doing better. In this vlog she fills us in on how she is feeling. We are praying that she continues to recover and will soon be back to full health.
I’m also playing around with a new vlogging mic for 2 reasons 1) because I’m a nerd and 2) because I want to start vlogging regularly. Click the image above to watch the video.

Thank God you are getting better and functioning so much better. I can’t even walk 3.7 miles straight without a big break. My mother was on methotrexate for years for another condition, that ended up being misdiagnosed for years. She used to tell me while on it HOW MUCH PAIN she was in!

The mic sounds good (this from a former broadcast technician). Money well-spent. What camera are you using? I see it’s a Panasonic Lumix- which model?

Hey Joe! I use me Lumix G7 for most personal video. I like it because the 4K video is stellar, it’s small, relatively cheap, has a hot shoe and a mic input. I also have a GH5 which is a really fantastic camera, which is a church asset and I use that for church. Neither are perfrect for vlogs due to the autofocus, but the IQ and features are so good that I deal with it. What are you shooting with?

At church we have a Canon XA10 which while a bit aged, I like a lot. Easy to use, full-featured, and good quality video. At home I have a Lumix LX-3 which caught everyone’s attention at CBS News a few years ago when I submitted video and a sound bite of a local snowstorm (got paid $150 stringer fee). I upgraded to the LX-7; these are mainly for still photography. I’m on the verge of upgrading my well-sed Canon 20D to the 80D which while it does not shoot 4k does do well across the board. My main hobby is still photography.
